Holland at Medicine Horse Ranch

Holland Naumer’s Story   Age 24

Holland’s father died when she was 15 years old.  The incident traumatized her and sent her into a downward spiraling that included drug use, unsafe and unstable lifestyle choices.  Always an animal lover, her mother suggested that she come study at The Center for Equine Guided Experiential Learning.

Holland began working with Alyssa Aubrey, CEGE and her herd of program horses in the Horse Sense for Young Women™ EGL Program in January 2009.  In her course of study, Holland established practices for self-care, honesty, setting boundaries, accountability and trust.  In April, Holland faced some legal issues that had been chasing her for years, resulting in loss of driving privileges.  Her fines were lowered and she was given 195 community service hours.  Holland completed her hours in July of 2009, paid her fines and had her driving privileges restored.  From a newly  discovered place of confidence and dignity, Holland re-shaped her life.  Currently she is living in Los Angles and attending  in the Vidal Sassoon Design School.  Holland plans to work as a stylist and makeup artist upon graduating.  Outside of her studies, Holland is perusing her love for horses, hoping to sponsor a horse near where she lives. She is a fabulous artist and hat designer and spends much of her free time creatively.
